I'm not entirely sure what others before you have done, or what did or didn't work. I have...some issues with my memory, so you'll see me writing a lot in my notebook. It's just so I don't forget anything important. You're free to ask to look at your entries any time--I'm not trying to hide them from you.
[Just getting that out of the way. She can recall how uneasy she'd feel watching the doctors write in their notebooks.]
[If he didn't think she was about half his age, he might go for the easy joke. As it is, he supposes that's one benefit for people who make it a bit older than him, half your age stops being a bit too young.]
I've been here a while, so I've seen plenty come and go. I can't say any of them worked. I haven't gone around asking what any of them thought about me. Probably amazed at my charm and wit, if you want to write down the most likely possibility.
[She considers her options, considers seeing what books on therapy they have in the library. At first it had seemed like an okay, doable task, but now faced with an inmate of her own, she's seeing how big of a task lies ahead of her.
Dutifully, she writes down 'thinks of himself as charming and witty.']
Afterlife? I'm not sure 'favorite' is the word. I wouldn't call a bunch of bikers playing pinball or being chased with a bunch of scales or roaming the endless dark or whatever a good time. Personally, I prefer to be alive.
Hmm...I find it a bit comforting. [She admits, tapping her bottom lip thoughtfully with her pen.]
It's nice to know it doesn't end here, that there's something else and my loved ones might be somewhere nice, or interesting. [She writes something in her notebook with a thoughtful little frown]
What about your loved ones? Are your parents still around, or siblings, friends...? [An 'etc' hand motion.]
I prefer to think there's nothing but the life we have. Of course, I also prefer atheism no matter how many gods I've run into, so maybe it's just about being stuck in my ways.
Dead, don't have any, who knows. [To go down the list. He shrugs.] My mum believed in heaven, so I suppose I sometimes hope for her sake there's something.
Do you think that's a problem you have? Being stuck in your ways, I mean?
[It's interesting, at any rate. It sure takes some balls to stand before gods and afterlives and decide they're all wrong and keep believing what you want anyhow. Honestly, Ruka's kinda impressed about it.]
